Graduation Requirements

To receive an associate degree or bachelor's degree from Allied American University, you must satisfy all of the graduation requirements. This includes completing the right number of credits, maintaining a specific grade point average (GPA) and fulfilling general education courses.

At AAU, we pair you with a Program Success Advocate (PSA) and provide access to helpful staff members in the Department of Academic Affairs to ensure that all of these requirements are met in a timely manner.

For an associate degree, you must:

• Earn a minimum of 60 credit hours, of which 15 credit hours must be earned through AAU required courses.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 system) overall in a declared major.
• Fulfill the general education requirements as directed by the degree program.

For a bachelor's degree, you must:

• Earn a minimum of 120 credit hours, of which 30 credit hours must be earned through AAU required courses.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 system) overall in a declared major.
• Fulfill the general education requirements as directed by the degree program.

Note: Graduation with Honors can be awarded to students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2 and complete at least 30 credits through AAU.

Graduation:

Degrees from Allied American University are awarded on a quarterly basis. You need to complete all final courses, submit a completed graduation application with the required fee, and resolve any outstanding financial obligations. After you complete these steps, you will receive two official transcripts and your degree.
