Applying for military tuition assistance (TA) is as easy as steps ONE, TWO, THREE. And with AAU’s distance learning education, military students can get their degree while living an on-the-go lifestyle.
Military students can use their TA funding for: high school diplomas, certificate programs and associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree programs.
TA funding is money earned by military service members that can be used for educational programs without having to pay it back. That means TA funding is not a loan. Any service member looking to attend college or other educational programs should see if they qualify for tuition assistance before signing up. Here’s how to do it:
Military service members need to go through their own branch of government to check their TA qualification status. Use the following link to apply for tuition assistance from your select branch: Your military TA instructions
Once you have found out if you qualify and for how much, you’ll need to find a school that works with and accepts government funding.
Finding a school that meets the needs of a military student can be a challenge. A good school will provide support for an active military lifestyle, as well as, meet government regulations offering proper distance education courses. AAU does this and more.
After you’ve decided which school is right for you, you can now sign up for classes knowing you’re on the right track.
Signing up for classes at AAU is easy. When you know what program you’re interested in, simply give your admissions rep a call to sign up for class. If you’re still not sure what educational program to take, an assigned representative will gladly go over degrees and certificates programs with you. No matter what your situation, an AAU rep is here to help.
