AAU’s Program Success Advocates (PSA)
One of the unique resonators of AAU is that we provide uniquely personalized, one-on-one attention to each of our students. To achieve this, students are assigned to Program Success Advocates (PSA). PSAs are the personal point of contact for students, and very much an important contributor to student retention.
Program Success Advocates lend assistance to students in a variety of ways. A few of the ways they do this include:
- Monitoring attendance and motivating the student to stay on track
- Answering procedural questions such as grading and scheduling information
- Coordinating proctored exams
- Assisting students in enrollment and selecting courses for their next term
- Processing graduation requirements and introduce students to alumni services

The Career Center at AAU provides students with invaluable support and career-specific resources for the purpose of guiding students into employment post-university. More specifically, AAU offers a comprehensive job assistance program, which comprises resume and cover letter assistance, employment resources and advice on interviewing, negotiating salary and tips on how best for students to network and market themselves. At the end of the day, AAU aims to provide as much assistance as the students need, but we also emphasize the importance of self-sufficiency so that students may know, without uncertainty, that they get the job they desire most.
