Medical Coding Certificate Program
A certificate in Medical Coding helps students prepare for the Certified Medical Coder (CPC) certification exam. The BLS projects a 20 percent increase in the number of jobs in the medical coding, meaning opportunities will grow in doctor's offices, hospitals and clinics nationwide. A certificate from AAU will prepare students to input the appropriate code for various medical services in order for health care practitioners and providers to receive payment for services rendered. From ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM to CPT and Level II HCPCS codes, students will know how to effectively incorporate these codes using current coding rules and regulations.
